What to Expect When Buying STANDARD Brazilian Black Riven Slate Slabs
Brazilian black riven slate is formed from large blocks of natural stone that are split along their layers to create a textured, riven finish. This traditional process produces a completely natural surface, meaning every slab carries its own unique character in both appearance and feel.
With this standard selection, variation is to be expected and is part of the appeal of genuine slate. Some slabs may appear more consistent in colour, while others will display a blend of black, grey, and subtle tonal variation. Surface profiles can also differ, ranging from relatively even to more pronounced riven textures with visible cleft lines.
This range is supplied without individual selection, so slabs are dispatched as they are taken from stock. If you require a more uniform look in colour and texture, a premium graded option may be more suitable if available. Please also be aware that any ECONOMICAL slabs are totally removed and not included in this selection.
